Robert E. Kimmel, 44, of Williamsburg VA, formerly of Tower City, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Jan.6, 2009.

 

He was a loving husband, father, and son.

 

Robert was born on Feb.21, 1964 in Pottsville, the son of Dawn Kimmel, Tower City and the late Guy Kimmel.

 

He was a 1982 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

 

He was a US Army veteran with 6 years stationed at Fort Story and served in the Gulf war.

He was a longshoreman crane operator in Newport News, Va.

Robert was preceeded in death in addtion to his father by a sister Lori Lang 2002.

Surviving in addtion to his mother are his beloved wife of 18 years Angie Kimmel, one son Rhys Kimmel at home,  Sisters, Bonnie Readinger of Lykens, Barbara Fisher of Elizabethville, and Teresa Neiman of Minersville; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am  Friday, April 24th from Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City with Rev. Edward Gobrecht.  Burial with military hornors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
 

The family requests, in lieu of flowers , donations be made to the trust fund set up for his son Rhys at the BB&T Bank, 300 2nd St, Williamsburg VA 23185.
