Joseph A. Kissinger 85, of Tower City passed away Wednesday at the Tremont Health and Rehab.

Born in Orwin, June 6,  1923 a son of the late George and Carrie Buffington Kissinger.

He was a graduate of the former Porter Twp. High School.  

Joe retired from Central Trucking Harrisburg as a truck driver.

He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and a member of the Silver Gray Camping Group.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his first wife, Doris Evans Kissinger and his daughter, Diane Lebo.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Faye R. Deiter Kissinger;  2 sons, Donald Kissinger, and his wife Joyce,  Mechanicsburg; Terry Kissinger  and his wife Karen, Tower City; 2 Step daughters, Audrey Carl and her husband Dan, Tower City; Kathy Ahrensfield and her husband Henry, Gordon; 2 Step sons, James Deiter and his wife Lori, Tower City and Jeffrey Deiter, FL.  5 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren, 5 Step Grandchildren and 4 Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30th at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Natalya Cherry.  Burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.  Viewing will be from 12 noon to 1 pm.   In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 400 E. Grand Ave. Tower City  PA 17980.
