James J. Kennedy, 74, of Spruce Street, Williamstown, passed away Monday at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Williamstown, September 16, 1934 a son of the late James J. and Mildred I. Shutt Kennedy. He was a 1953 graduate of Williamstown Catholic High School.
Jim retired in 1997 from the maintenance department at the former AMP, Inc., Williamstown.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Williamstown American Legion, Williamstown Liberty Hose Co. #1 and the Orwin Gun Club.
He enjoyed playing darts and was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and brother.
He was pre-deceased by a sister Mary Lamonte and a grandson, Jeremy Crum.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dolores A. Zigner Kennedy; 3 Sons, James J. Kennedy, John V. Kennedy and Timothy A. Kennedy and his wife Tina all of Williamstown; 2 Daughters, Dolores "Patty" Crum and her husband Sam, Halifax and Karen Y. Doyle and her husband Matt, Williamstown. 8 Grandchildren 8 Great Grandchildren. One brother, Vincent Kennedy, Gettysburg; 3 Sisters, Mildred Klinger, Joan Knapp and Arlene Mione all of Tower City. Nieces and Nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, with Revs. C. Anthony Miller and Darious Moss concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:45 - 9:45 at the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Williamstown.
