Louis E. Wood, 87, of Main Street, Hegins, formerly of Tower City,  passed away Friday at his home.

Born in Tower City, September 11, 1921, a son of the late Charles and Dora Pearson Wood.

He was a retired machinest from the former TRW, Harrisburg.

He was a member of the Fearnot Assembly of God Church.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his first wife, Maude Wood, 1993.  Two step children, Glen Schwalm and Rebecca Clark and a step -granddaughter.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Ruby Schwalm Wood; 1 Sister, Margaret Markovich and her husband Stephen, one niece, Rebecca Stover, two great nieces Kristina and Rachel Stover, all of Tower City.  Two Step Granchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 11th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeal Homes Inc. Tower City with Revs. Steven Wise and Robert Straub.   Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.  Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the chapel.   In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Fearnot Assembly of God Church,  Hegins  PA 17938 or Calvary Independent Church, 6300 St. Rt. 209, Lykens PA 17048.
