William R. Ulsh, 69, of Newport and Orwin, passed away Saturday, August 22nd at the Hershey Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Philadelphia, December 1, 1939 a son of the late Dervin and Anna Ulsh.
Bill was a 1957 graduate of the former Williamstown High School. He was a United States Marine Veteran.
He retired as a business agent with Local 592 Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons.
He was a member of the Williamstown American Legion, #239; Orwin Gun Club, Hunters Valley Sportmen's Association and the Millerstown Loyal Order of Moose.
Bill was devoted to his wife and family, he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play Williams Valley Sports. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivng are his wife of 39 years, Blanche V. Updegrave Ulsh; One son, William Ulsh Jr., Virginia, one daughter, Joan Koppenhaver, Lykens; 2 Step-daughters, Carol Whelski and Sandy Romberger both of Tower City. 3 Brothers, Rick Ulsh, Florida, Larry and Russell "Skip" Ulsh both of Williamstown. 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and his beloved dog BeBe.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Sts.
