  • Rev. Floyd Henry Grubb Jr., 82 died October 30,2009 at his residence in Arnold. 
    Rev Grubb was born March 16, 1927 in Williamstown, Pa. to the late Floyd H Grubb Sr & Cleo Grubb.
    He grew up in Williamstown & graduated from the Williamstown High School in 1945 were he played clarinet in the band. He worked for 27 years at Social Security Administration retiring in the early 80's. 

    He was a part time clergy in the United Methodist Church  where he served in early 70's for 8 years at the Canton United Methodist Church in Baltimore,  the Alberta Gary United Methodist Church in Columbia, Md. area in the late 70's , the Cumberland area were he served a 3 church charge in the early 80's ,and at the Solley United Methodist Church in Pasadena in the mid 80's. A Veteran of WWII were he served in the Pacific. 

    A life member and Chaplain at large with the American Legion Post 239 and life member of VFW Post 6497 both of Williamstown, Pa. He was a member of Calvery United Methodist in Annapolis. He enjoyed playing the piano in many of the churchs he servered. Other things he enjoyed doing was Square dancing , shooting Clays, playing hand bells with his family, playing the bag pipes , and traveling with his family on over the road trips.

    Married for 57years to Shirley M Grubb he is also survived by 4 daughters, Deborah A. Grubb-Wheeler of Reisterstown Md., Deanna A.  Webber of Arnold, Darlene A. Grubbkruger of Pasadena , Dahn A. Grubb of Arnold and a son John A Grubb of Pasadena, also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
    In leiu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Association 135 Parkinson Ave. Staten Island, N.Y.10305.

    Services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 am from the Williamstown United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven Atanasoff.  Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetey.    Viewing will be from 10:30 - 11:30 at the church.
