Dorothy M. Staple, 92, of Tower City passed away Tuesday at the Schuylkill Medical Center, East, Pottsville.

Born in Lykens, September 8, 1917 a daughter of the late Ira and Ruth Snyder Hoffman.

Dorothy retired from the cafeteria from the Williams Valley Elementary School, Tower City.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City where she was very acvtice in helping with the church, especially the making of shoefly pies.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Kenneth "Pete" Staple, in 1970.

Surviving are a sister, Kathryn M. Hand and her husband Gene, Fountain; Two brothers, Carl Hoffman and his wife Joyce, Tower City and Clarence Hoffman and his wife Sue, Kentucky.  Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14th at 2:00 pm from the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City with Rev. Natalya Cherry.   Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 1-2 pm at the church.
