Ruth Beatrice Spengler, 101, formerly of Tower City died Friday, March 5th at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra.

Born in Williamstown, August 3, 1908, a daughter of the late Frank and Roceila Miller Keene.

She was a 1927 graduate of the former Williamstown High School.

She was a life long resident of Tower City, where she was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and being with her friends.

She was an accomplished pianist, who played for the silent movies of the 1920's.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Ralph, 1969, sisters Eva Straub, 1989, Jenny Klinger, 1994 and a brother Frank Keene, 1974.

Surviving are her son, Robert Spengler and his wife Karen, grandson, Brian and great granddaughter Alyssa all of Palmyra.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9th at 10:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City.   Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 9-10 am at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the LebanonValley Brethern Home, 1200 Grubb Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 or  Hospice of Cental PA  17101 Linglestown Rd.  Harrisburg PA
