LaRue A. Welker, 66, of Greenwood Road, Tower City, passed away Saturday afternoon at her home.

Born in Valley View, November 30, 1943, a daughter of the late Verne and Eleanor Klinger Lesher.

LaRue was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and Central Penn Business School.

She retired after over 20 years of service as a legal secretary with the law firm of McNees, Wallace and Nurick,  Harrisburg.

She was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tower City where she was a member of the choir and teacher of Sunday school and Bible School.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a infant son, Paul Welker Jr., and a step-sister, Diane Shiflet.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Paul N. Welker;  Two daughters, Krista Keisling and Shannon Williard, both of Tower City;  two granddaughters, Ashlee Williard, Hershey and Margaret Keisling, Tower City.  One sister, Sandra Specht, Leck Kill; her step-mother, Frances Lesher, Camp Hill, step-sister, Beverly Antaeus, New Mexico.    Nieces and Nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 am from Trinity United Church of Christ.  Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the church..   In lieu of flowers donations should be made to her chruch, Trinity UCC, East Grand Ave.  Tower City PA 179870, American Cancer Society, 16 N. 4th Street, Minersville PA 17954 or Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmood Drive, Harrisburg PA 17110.
