Larry D. Slingwine, Sr., 72, of Beagle Road, Tower City passed away Monday at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Tower City, January 11, 1938, a son of the late Gurney and Mary Bush Slingwine. 

He was an Army National Guard Veteran.

Larry was the retired owner of Valley Precision Tool, Tower City.   He was also the owner/operator of the former Valley Auto Body.    

He was of the Protestant Faith.  A member of the Orwin and Sheridan Fire Companies.

Larry enjoyed being with his family, he was very proud of all his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a sister, Ruth Raudenbush, two brothers, Jack and Mark Slingwine.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Pat A. Houtz Slingwine;  a son, Larry D. Slingwine Jr, and his wife Joann, Tower City; a daughter, Tammy L. Smeltz and her husband Jeremy, Tower City.  7 Grandchildren, Tiffany and Natalie Hand, Logan Smeltz, all of Tower City; Mallory Slingwine, Lancaster; Arielle Slingwine, Jon and Lee Dreisigacker, all of Tower City.  1 Great Granddaughter, Faith Fitzgerald, Lancaster. One sister, Jean Minnich, Michigan.  Nieces and Nephews.

Following Larry's wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in his memory to the Williams Valley Elementary PTO, 10400, State Rt. 209, Tower City PA 17980.
