Clyde T. Perkins, 85, formerly of Highspire, passed away Thursday at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown where he was currently residing.

Born in Williamstown, January 4, 1925, a son of the late Howard and Mildred Hoffman Perkins.

Clyde was a Navy veteran serving both  in W.W. II and Korea. He was very proud to serve on the USS Hornet aircraft carrier. He retired as a aircraft engine mechanic from New Cumberland Army Depot.

He was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church, a life member of the Williamstown American Legion and Williamstown V.F.W.   He was also a member of the Steelton Swatara Lodge F&AM 775, where he was past master.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Cassie Stern, a sister Dorothy Alt and a brother Robert Perkins.

 Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Alma Fetterhoff Perkins;  one son, H. Dewey Perkins, Harrisburg; one daughter, A. Jane Perkins, Washington D.C.;  one brother, James Perkins, Lykens; one sister, Mae Bohr, Orwin.  4 Grandchildren, Matthew Stern, Joseph Perkins, Suzanne Hoffer and Tara Sickler 2 Great Grandchildren, Abbie and Megan Hoffer.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 27th at 11:30 am from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.   Their will be no viewing or visitation.   Memorial donations in lieu of flowers should be made to the Williamstown United Methodist Church, East  and Vine Street, Williamstown PA 17098 or Masonic Village Hospice, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown PA 17022
