Reed L. Lebo, 86,  of 3741 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax passed away Wednesday at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

Born in Halifax, September 17, 1923 a son of the late Dewey M. and Ruth W. Lebo.

He was a graduate of the former Halifax High School and Central Penn Business College.  Reed was a W.W. II Army  Air Force Veteran.

He founded the Reed L. Lebo Insurance Agency in 1947 which is still operated by his sons. Prior to owning his insurance agency, he and his wife owned and operated Lebo's Photography Studio, Millersburg.  He also sold archery equipment in Millersburg and was an accomplished archer.  He was an avid outdoorsman.

He attended Word of Life Chapel, Halifax.

Reed was on the Board of Directors of the Halifax National Bank for 40 years, and former President of the bank for numerous years. He was a charter member of the Millersburg Rotary Club, a charter member and past president of the the Twin Valley's Lions Club, Halifax.  A member and past president of the Dauphin Mutual Insurance Company and former director of Family Security Life Insurance Company.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mildred A. Laudenslager Lebo; two sons, James M. Lebo and his wife Patricia and Reed L. Lebo II and his wife Dorothea, both of Halifax. Four grandchildren, Michael Lebo, Tricia Hammaker, Zachary and Jonathan Lebo. Three great grandchildren, Madeline, Morgan and Preston Lebo.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22 at 5:00 pm at the Word of Life Chapel, Halifax with Rev. Bob Baer.  Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. at the church.   Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Jacob's Cemetery, Halifax.   In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Word of Life Chapel, 27 Fellowship Drive,   Halifax PA, 17032.
