Gerald K. Shaffner, Sr, 70, Williamstown,  passed away Tuesday at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Highspire, a son of the late Clarence E. Shaffner and Alberta Bell Shaffner Brown.

Gerald retired as a computer operator from EUR Data Center, Camp Hill.

He enjoyed working on his computer and was an avid Ham Radio Operator.   He was very proud of his grandson, TJ, whom he dearly loved.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Margaret Stiles Shaffner; one daughter, Kathy L. Shutt and her husband Ted, Orwin; one son, Gerald Keith Shaffner, Jr., Williamstown;  a grandson, Ted Shutt, Jr. Orwin; two half brothers, Kevin and William Brown.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 10th at 9:30 am  from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City with Rev. Edward Gobrecht.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. 644 E. Grand Avenue, Tower City to help with expenses.
