Caroline L. Hoffman, 74, of Vine Street,  Williamstown, passed away unexpectedly Monday at her home.

Born in Williamstown, September 10, 1935, a daughter of the late William G. and Leona Kuntzelman Trotman.

She was a 1954 graduate of the former Williamstown High School and Empire Beauty School.  She has previously worked for Bell Telephone, Harrisburg, was a licensed beautician and worked for Olive Underkoffler Beauty Salon and Bestok Garment Factory.

She was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church and a former member of its choir; an active member of the Eastern Star, Glen Chapter, Lykens; a member of the Liberty Hose Co. #1, Williamstown where she served on the fire police and was a former financial secretary, she also belonged to the Auxiliary of the fire company.  She was a member of the Dauphin County Firemans Assoc., a social member of the Williamstown American Legion and had been very active with the girl scouts in Williamstown.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband, Herbert R. Hoffman, July 22, 2009; two brothers, Harvey and John Trotman.

Surviving are two daughters, Joan M. Bohner and her husband Richard, Williamstown; Janice L. Rhoade and her husband Clair, Herndon; 1 Granddaughter, Jennifer J. Rhoade, Tower City; a brother, Aaron Trotman and his wife Sandra, Williamstown; a sister, Ethel Machamer, Elizabethville; two sister-in-laws, Gladys Trotman, Williamstown and Marion Trotman, Lancaster.   Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with Rev. Dr. Stevan Atanasoff will be held Thursday, July 29th at 10:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.  Viewing will be from 9-10 am with an eastern star service at 9:45.   Memorial donations should be made to the Williamstown United Methodist Church, East and Spruce Streets, Williamstown, PA 17098 or Williamstown American Legion, 123 W. Market St. Williamstown, PA 17098.
