Beth E. Holden, 90, of Tower City, passed away Monday at the Tremont Health and Rehab.

Born in Tower City, August 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Hilbert and Blanche Shindler Hoffman.

She was a graduate of the former Tower City High School and the Lankenau Nursing School.  Beth worked as a nurse for many years for Dr. Herrold, Williamstown and retired from Dr. Bowers office in Lykens.  She was also a Cadet Nurse during W.W. II. 

She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City where she was a member of the choir, kitchen committee and altar guild.  She was also a member of the Glen Chapter of the Eastern Star, Lykens, Tower City Women of Moose and Tower City American Legion Aux.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry E., 2000; a daughter, Susan, 1953 and a brother Ben Hoffman.

Surviving are her daughter, Beth Ann Richards and her husband Kerry, Tower City; two grandchildren, Crystal Richards, Tower City and Chad Richards and his wife Jody, Valley View. Two great grandchildren, Kailie and Caden Richards.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 5th at 11:00 am from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City with Rev. Linda Bonfiglio.  Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to her church,  449 E. Grand Avenue,  Tower City PA 17980.
