Betty Mae Showers, 92, of Williamstown passed away Sunday, September 27th.

Born in Williamstown, August 11, 1923, a daughter of the late Alexander and Jennie Llewellyn Hoffman.  She was the youngest of their 18 children, of which one brother Marshall Hoffman, age 95, of Clifton NJ, still survives her.

Betty was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School.  She was a World War II Veteran having served her country in the US Navy during WW II.

She was a retired finance and accounting technician at Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville.  She was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church; a member of the Williamstown American Legion and a former officer with the Williamstown Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.

Betty was married to William D. Showers, who passed in 1989; with whom she had three children, William, Gregory and Barry.   William passed at 3 days old; Barry passed at age 49 in 2005.      

In addition to her brother she is survived by her son, Gregory, Williamstown; She was blessed with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
