Brian E. Kerwin, Sr., 67, of Elizabethville, passed away unexpectedly Monday at his home.
Born in Lykens, December 7,1949, a son of the late Michael Sr. and Margaret McGrath Kerwin.
Brian was a 1967 graduate of the former Williamstown Catholic High School. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He retired as a shipping manager from Reiff and Nestor, Co., Lykens with over 46 years of service.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, Lykens and the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Mary Caruso and two brothers, James and Michael Kerwin.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Christine Koppenhaver Kerwin; his four children, Brian Kerwin Jr. (Jessica), Elizabethville; Richard Kerwin (Ruthie), Lykens; Daniel Kerwin (Amy) and Allison Nordan (Daniel), both of North Carolina. Two sisters, Eileen Nestor, Lykens and Margaret Kerwin, Camp Hill. Nine grandchildren, One great granddaughter. Nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00 am from Our Lady Help of Christian Church with Rev. Michael Opoki as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Irish Catholic Cemetery, Lykens. Visitation will be from 9-10 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Upper Dauphin Area Conservation Club, c/o Upper Dauphin High School, 220 N. Church Street, Elizabethville, PA 17023 or Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, 732 Main Street, Lykens, PA 17048.
