Charles R. "Dutch" Ney, 82, of Tower City, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital - East, Pottsville.
 
Born in Donaldson, December 18, 1934, a son of the late Wilson and Verna Shadle Ney.
 
Dutch was a retired Iron Worker from Union Local 420, Reading.  He was also as a coal miner for many years.
 
He was an avid hunter, a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys.   His greatest joys were spending time with his family, he will be deeply missed.
 
He was predeceased by his wife, Janice Higgins Ney, 2014.
 
Surviving are his children, Cristal Brown and her husband Terry, Tower City; Keith Ney, New Jersey and Sherry Chistakoff, Llewellyn; a brother, Clyde Ney, Hegins; three half brothers, Earl "Hess" Gehres and Bob Gehres both of Donaldson; Lamar Gehres, Georgia; a half sister, Sandy Kimmel, Tremont; four grandchildren, Andrea Ventura; Brandon, Cody and Ashley Chistakoff; three great grandchildren, Gabriella and CaLea Chistakoff and Brady Ventura.  Nieces and nephews.
 
Services will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations in his memory should be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 W.
