Charles J. Readinger, 70, of Tower City, passed away Friday at Leigh Valley Medical Center with his family by his side.

Born in Pottsville, May 29, 1945, a son of the late Charles H. and Catherine Dominick Readinger.

He was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.    He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

He was of the Lutheran Faith.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Diane E. Chubb Readinger; four daughters, Dawn Readinger, Williamstown; Valerie Underkoffler, Palo Alto; Kristy Germani, Schuylkill Haven and Tammy Readinger, Williamstown;  10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
