Christine E. Kerwin, 65, of Elizabethville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her home.  Chris was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Brian E. Kerwin, 8 days prior on September 18th.
 
Born in Lykens, July 13, 1952, a daughter of Evelyn Flynn Koppenhaver, Lykens and the late Robert Koppenhaver.
 
Chris was a 1970 graduate of  Upper Dauphin High School.    She was employed for over 37 years with the former Don's Food Rite and later Boyer's Market, Lykens, where she was the deli manager.  Chris took great pride in her job and always greeted everyone with a smile.
 
Her life revolved around her family, she will be remembered as the best wife, mom and granny.   She was an exceptional homemaker, who loved to cook, bake, sew and just be there for everyone.    
 
She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church, Lykens.
 
In addition to her father and husband, she was predeceased by a brother John Koppenhaver.
 
Surviving in addition to her mother, her four children, Brian Kerwin, Jr., (Jessica), Elizabethville; Richard Kerwin (Ruthie), Lykens, Daniel Kerwin (Amy), and Allison Nordan (Daniel) both of North Carolina; one sister, Barbara Dougherty (Gary), Halifax; three brothers, Robert Koppenhaver (Cathy), Dillsburg; Tony Koppenhaver (Colleen), Michigan and Charles Koppenhaver (Lucy), Tennessee.  Her nine beloved grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  Nieces and nephews.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 30th at 10:00 am from Our Lady Help of Christian Church with Rev.
