Evelyn J. Thomas, 78, of Joliett, passed away Wednesday at the Tremont Health and Rehab.

Born in Mahony City, November 13, 1937, a daughter of the late John and Hattie Brown Davidson.

Evelyn was a graduate of Mahony City High School.   She was a retired seamstress from the Garment Industry.

Before becoming ill she was a very active member of the Joliett United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Phaon, 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Eric A. Thomas and his companion Annette Merwine, Pine Grove and Bill P. Thomas, Joliett; a brother, Williams Davidson and his wife Ruth, Mahony City; three grandchildren, Benton, Mattison and Phaon; three great grandchildren, Masyn, Brooklyn and Claire.  Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 5th at 2 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Donald Boyd.  Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Tremont.  Viewing will be from 1-2 pm at the chapel.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Tremont Health and Rehab (E Wing) for the outstanding care given to their mother during her illness.   In lieu of flower donations should be made to the Joliett United Methodist Church c/o Shirley Yerges, 23 Joliett Street, Tremont PA 17981 or the Tremont Health and Rehab Activity Fund, 44 Donaldson Road, Tremont PA 17981.  Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.  To sign the guest book visit www.dimonfuneralhome.com
