Frances I. McNamara, a longtime resident of Williamstown, PA and in recent years a resident of Thornwald Home in Carlisle, passed away early Sunday morning at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 26, 1922 in Wiconisco, PA to the late Samual and Florence (Gordon) Foster. Frances was a graduate of the former Wiconisco HIgh School and was valedictorian of her class.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Williamstown.

First and always, Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her greatest treasures and joy in her life were her family. She was so proud of her children, and was happiest when we were all able to be together to celebrate special family occasions and holidays.

She enjoyed crocheting, and cooking and baking, but her favorite pasttime was listening to classic country music, and especially the sounds of the big band era.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Vincent T. McNamara, Sr., who died in October of 2013: and her two sisters - Elma Moore and Carrie Schwalm, and her brother Gordon Foster.

Surviving are her four children, Frances Pazur (Ronald); Joanne Bowman (Thomas); Dennis J. McNamara (Mary Lynn) and Vincent T. McNamara, Jr. (Kathleen); nine grandchildren, Shannon Pazur; Thomas Bowman, Jr. and David Bowman; Jody Sharer, Dennis McNamara and Colleen Condran; Kevin, Cory and Kathryn McNamara. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 20th at 11:30 am from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown with Rev. C. Anthony Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:15 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City.
