James P. Flynn, 66, of Williamstown, passed away suddenly Monday afternoon in Williamstown.
Born in Lykens, August 27, 1950, a son of the late John Sr. and Alma Buggy Flynn.
Jimmy was 1968 graduate of Williams Valley High School. He was also a Air Force National Guard Veteran serving from 1968-1975.
Jim retired from Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown; a member of the Williamstown American Legion, Williamstown V.F.W. and the Liberty Hose Company #1, Williamstown.
He was a avid Notre Dame Football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends at Uncle Jim's.
Surviving are two daughters, Angie and Tara; a granddaughter, Montana; one brother, Jack Flynn, a sister, Marie Jobe (Donald) both of Williamstown; a niece Mandi Jobe and two nephews, Jack and Ryan Flynn. Many dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 21st at 10:00 am from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown. Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10 at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory should be made to the Williamstown American Legion, 123 W. Market Street, Williamstown PA 17098.
