James F. Spardy, 70, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday, May 31st at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Stowe Township, Allegheny County, April 9, 1947, a son of the late Leo and Edith Casolari Spardy.

Jim was a United States Navy Veteran.

He was a retired manager from the grocery/retail business.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Mary Lucas Spardy; one daughter, Kara Sweeney (Matthew), Long Island, New York; a grandson, Liam James Sweeney; one brother, Robert Spardy (Debra), Pittsburgh; one sister, Anna Zeneski (Gary), Ohio.  Nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial with military honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers,  donations should be made to the Porter Tower EMS, P.O.
