Larry G. Smith, 69, of Tower City passed away suddenly Thursday night at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Eaton, Arkansas, October 16, 1946, a son of Beatrice Duncan Smith, Arkansas and the late Eugene Smith.

Larry proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a retired ship mechanic from the Mechanicsburg Naval Base.

He was of the Protestant Faith; a member of the Tower City American Legion and the Tower City Fire Company.

Larry's entire life revolved around his family. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anything they wanted, Larry made sure they had. He will be deeply missed.

He was predeceased by his father, a sister, Vialeata and a great grandson, Bennett Armour. 

Surviving are his wife, Carol Carl Smith; two children Wendy Hoffman (Brad) and William Smith (Stacy) both of Williamstown; his grandchildren, Nicole Archer, Ashley Hoffman, Alyssa Hoffman and Titus Smith. Great Grandchildren; Piper and Prezlee Tabone, Harper Hoffman, Braden and Bentley Price. His twelve siblings, Carolyn, Kathy, Pam, Danny, Keith, Joe, Richard, Vickie, Brenda, Paula, Anneata and Mike.  Nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5th at 10 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. Burial with full military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9-10 am at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory should be made to the Tower City American Legion, S. 10th Street, Tower City, PA 17980.
