Lillian D. Lower, 95, of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday night at the Manor of the Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

Born in Jamaica, Long Island, New York,  December 9, 1921, a daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Hoffman Johs.

Lillian was an active member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir for many years and also was on the Administrative Board. She was a member of the Williamstown Legion Auxiliary, the former Williams Valley Community Choir; a member of the former Williamstown Republican Club where she served as Secretary for over forty years and was a former Judge of Elections for Williams Township.

She was predeceased by her husband Russel Lower Sr., 2011; a brother Fred Johs and a sister Eleanor Murgatroyd.

Surviving are her son, Russel Lower, Jr. and his wife Brenda, Tower City; two granddaughters, Heather Zerembo and her husband Robert, Tower City and Lauren Shutt and her husband Larry, Orwin; a great granddaughter, Laila Shutt; two sisters, Gladys Frette, Minnesota and Evelyn Hoffman, Maryland. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17th at 11:00 am from the Williamstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Monica Romberger.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the church.
