Louis R. Readinger, 58, of Williamstown, passed away Friday morning at the Holy Spirit Hospital after a courageous fight against leukemia.

Born in Lykens, July 1, 1958, a son of the late Cornelius and Diana Readinger.

Lou was a 1976 graduate of Williams Valley High School. He also graduated from Penn State, Rutgers and Southern Cal Universities.  

He was a computer programmer for Harrisburg Area Community College.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown; the Williamstown American Legion and the NRA. Lou was one of the original founders of the Williamstown Community Pride Association.

He was avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and spending time at his camp in Tioga County.

He is survived by his fiance and love of his life, Glenda K. Parish, Lykens and her children, Joe Wyatt, Illinois and Ainsley Dorsey and her husband Chris and their son, Aiden, Georgia; his brother and best friend, Neil Readinger, Williamstown; a sister, Mary Theresa Mertzanis and her husband Peter of Langhorne, an aunt; Mary Trumpeter, Williamstown.  Numerous cousins that Lou thought of as brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 23rd at 10:00 am from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown with Rev. C. Anthony Miller as Celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 -10:00.  A Celebration of Lou's life will also be held, Saturday April 22nd from the  Halifax United Methodist Church, 105 Windhill Road, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the GoFundMe account: Lou Readinger, CMML Support Group. A fund to help those dealing with leukemia.
