Margaret Riskis, 84, of Tower City passed away Monday December 28th at the Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on October 22, 1931 in St. Clair, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Maleska Harviletz.  Margaret was one of 12 siblings.

Margaret attended Frackville High School and graduated in 1949.  Upon graduation, she worked in the garment industry and later as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.

On October 11, 1958 she married Richard J. Riskis in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tower City.  Margaret and Richard recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel until her death.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: David Riskis and his wife Theresa and Teresa Riskis Payne and her husband Jack.  Margaret is also survived by four grandsons: Matthew and Brett Payne and Connor and John Riskis.  Above all else, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a very talented cook and will be sadly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
