Michael K. Golden, 38, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday evening at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, after a courageous five month illness.
 
Born in Pottsville, August 27, 1978, a son of Kenneth and Stephanie Klinger Golden, Tower City.
 
Mike attended Williams Valley High School.  He was a member of the Reinerton Fire Company.   He was known as a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a hand whenever needed.  He enjoyed working on cars.  His greatest joys in his life were being with his children, whom he adored.
 
He was a truck driver with A & S Services / Big Lots, Tremont.
 
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Cory L. Messick Golden; his two children, Kristen and Alan Golden, both at home; two sisters, Shelly Slough, Williamstown and Dawn Shutt, Tower City;  Aunts, including Liza Klinger,  who was very special to Mike, uncles, nieces and nephews.
 
A Celebration of Mike's life will be held Sunday, October 16th  at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City.  Visitation will be from 1-2 at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 644 E.
