Clair L. Nace, 88, of Williamstown, passed away Saturday at his home.
Born in Williamstown, April 18, 1930, a son of the late George and Elizabeth Fromm Nace.
He was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean War and was also a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Clair retired from the Commonwealth of PA, Department of General Services. He previously worked as a coal miner and a salesman for local automobile dealers.
Clair was associated with the Jehovah's Witnesses Tremont Congregation. He was a very active member of the Liberty Hose Company #1, Williamstown, since the age of 21, where he served as Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, President, driver and a fire policeman over the years. He was also a life member of the Williamstown American Legion and the Dauphin County Volunteer Fireman's Association.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother George.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Kathleen (Rose) Nace; a son, Randy Nace (Roseann), a daughter, Jackie Weinrich (John), both of Williamstown; three grandchildren, Daniel Nace, Beth Heim and Amanda Schoffstall, ten great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 4th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Elder Paul Frantz. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Liberty Hose Company #1, 224 W. Broad Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.
