Daniel R. Shuey, 69, of Tower City, passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born in Pottsville, May 24, 1947, a son of the late John and Beatrice Keisling Shuey.

Danny was 1965 graduate of Porter Tower High School. He was a proud Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was retired from the Federal Security Department with the New Cumberland Army Depot.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton, Williamstown American Legion, Williamstown VFW and the Disabled American Veterans.

He enjoyed his trips to Rehoboth Beach, his dogs, and listening to music.  Before becoming ill, Danny was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Becky Bast Shuey; a brother, Bruce Shuey and his wife Mary, Jonestown; three sisters, Coralee Zarker and her husband John, Rehoboth Beach, DE; Nina Rubendall and her husband Wes, Tower City and Jackie Shuey and her companion Dave Kissinger, Millersburg; a son, Troy and grandchildren, Ben and Chloe.   Nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 22nd at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Warren Egebo. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.
