Welcome to the memorial page for

Doris J. Lucas-Rauh

December 12, 1955 ~ November 4, 2017 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Doris Jean (Lucas) Rauh, of Colorado,  passed away peacefully at home early Saturday morning November 4th with her best friend and love of her life Jim by her side. In the days leading to her peaceful surrender, she was surrounded by her children, Autumn Sears, Matt Blyler, Tanner Rauh and Katie Rauh. Always considerate of others, Doris helped her three grandsons, Lucas, Braden and CJ understand that she would soon be in heaven watching over and protecting them just as always.

Doris was born and raised in the beautiful valley surrounding Tower City, Pennsylvania to Helen and Guy Lucas on December 12, 1955. Doris is survived by her adoring sisters, Faye Oxenrider, Millersburg, Mary Spardy, Leona Dunlop and Alice Raudenbush, all of Tower City  - “The Lucas Girls”, and their wonderful families.  She was 1973 graduate of Williams Valley High School

Above all, Doris loved spending time with family and friends. It was impossible to be a stranger while around Doris. Her wonderful smile and presence would light up a room. She had a wonderful gift of making everyone around her feel comfortable and special. During her nearly 18-year battle against cancer, Doris enjoyed and appreciated the support of so many friends and family members who were all part of her amazing journey. The meals, flowers, cards, love and prayers gave her great strength and comfort over the many years she fought the horrible disease they call cancer. Her POSITIVE ATTITUDE showed cancer it did not know who it was dealing with as she overcame the odds year after year. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be terribly missed by everyone. Heaven is lucky to welcome their newest angel.

A viewing will be held at Horan & McConaty Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night, November, 9th (11150 E Dartmouth Avenue - at S. Parker Road). The funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Loreto at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10th (18000 East Arapahoe Road in Foxfield). Following the services, the family would like to extend an invitation to join them at Valley Country Club (14601 Country Club Drive, Centennial) to celebrate Doris and her amazing legacy.
