Dorothy Schaeffer

Dorothy Schaeffer, 73, of Tower City, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at UPMC, Pinnacle, Harrisburg.
 
Dot was born July 2, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Mills-Garner Michitsch.
 
Dot enjoyed spending time with her family.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Schaeffer, October 5, 2017.
 
Surviving are her two daughters, Karen Miller (Ken); Stacey Sherack; a son, Charles Promensky all of Tower City;  step-daughter, Tammy Schaeffer, Tower City; step-son, Jon Schaeffer (Heather), Wernersville; two brothers, Ken Michitsch, Harrisburg and Bill Michitsch, Tivoli, New York; a sister, Anita Pfeffer, Hummelstown.  Six grandchildren
 
Services will be held Friday, January 11th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Lauren Blatt.   Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown;   Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel.   To sign the guest book visit www.dimonfuneralhome.com
