Eugene R. "Jake" Castor, 78, of Wiconisco, passed away Tuesday, July 9th at UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg.
Born in Wiconisco, November 2, 1940, a son of the late Luther and Dorothy Shomper Kaster.
Jake was a 1959 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a retired machinist from the former TRW/Chromalloy, Harrisburg. Jake was a member of the Wiconisco Fire Company.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry "Butch" Kaster.
Surviving are his wife Kay L. Michaels Castor, to whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on July 11th, one son; Robert Castor, Wiconisco, one daughter; Amy Castor, Wiconisco, a sister, Carol Scheibelhut, Williamstown and one brother, James Caster, Wiconisco. Six grandchildren; two great granddaughters. Nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, July 15th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Carl Slough. Burial with military honors will be in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. Visitation will be from 10:30-11 at the chapel.
