Eva E. "Betty" Carl, 92, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday at her home.
Born in Williamstown, April 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Ellis and Melba Putt Davis.
Eva was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City.
She enjoyed collecting dolls, especially Shirley Temple, a fan of Elvis and enjoyed going to auctions. Above all, her family was her greatest joy in life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin; a grandson, James Tobin, granddaughter, Dawn Behney, great granddaughters, Isabella and Destiny; a daughter-in-law, Janice Carl and two son-in-law, Vaughn Bixler and James Adams. She was also preceded in death by 11 siblings.
Surviving are three sons, Melvin "Dook" Carl, Kenneth Carl (Alice) and Robert Carl (Anita) all of Tower City; four daughters, Betty Bergey (Leonard), Elizabethville; Lucinda Bixler and Rose Adams both of Williamstown and Betsy Tobin (Jim), Tower City. One brother, Donald Davis, Newville. 25 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 25 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
