MARLIN R. WHITCOMB, SR. - 84; of 715 E. Wiconisco Ave. Tower City, died Saturday morning at his home.

Born in Gratz, July 21, 1921 a son of the late George and Eartha Williard Whitcomb.

He was a W.W. II Army Veteran.

He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church - Tower City; Marlie had raised and trained racing horses and was a member of the U.S. Harness Racing Association andnbsp;He also collected and enjoyed working on antique cars.

He was retired from the former TRW - Harrisburg.

He was pre-deceased by a brother Clair and a sister Myrtle Engle.

Surviving are his wife - Ida Mae Hoffman Whitcomb to whom he was married 63 years. A son Marlin R. Jr.and his wife Jackie of Williamstown, 1 daughter Linda L. Reed and her husband Ken of Lykens R.D., 6 Grandchildren - Lynn, Douglas, Gregory, Cheryl Reed, Marlin Whitcomb III and LeAnn Milburn.; 6 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Wed. at 11:30 from his church with Rev. Paul Baughman andnbsp;Burial with full military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. andnbsp;Memorial donations may be made to his church - 4th Street and Grand Ave. Tower City PA 17980 ; Tower Porter Ambulance Assoc. andnbsp;P.O.
