Mary D. Kimmel, 81, of Donaldson, passed away Friday evening at the Gardens at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville.
 
Born in Branchdale, June 16, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Anna Rowland Gleason.
 
Mary was a graduate of the former Cass Township High School.   She was a retired seamstress from the Donaldson Mfg.
 
She was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Tremont.  She was also a member of the Donaldson Fire Company Auxiliary.
 
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years,  Marlin "Gooks" Kimmel on May 4, 2014; two sisters, Joan Scheib and Ellen Frew.
 
Surviving are her two children, Jane Androshick and her husband Francis Jr., and Edward Kimmel, both of Donaldson; Five grandchildren, she was very proud of, Elizabeth and Patrick Kimmel (Ashley Grenninger);  Ashley and Jena Androshick (Garrett Hentz) and Jon Shuman (McKenna Becker) Three great grandchildren, Kaelynn Barry, Kaiden Kimmel and McKinley Shuman; one brother, John Gleason, Pottsville;  nieces and nephews
 
Religious services will be held Friday, June 2nd at 12 noon from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. with Rev. Jason Stokes.  Burial will be in the Donaldson Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11 am -12 pm at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Donaldson Fire Company, 1 W.
