Merl D. Thompson, 86, of Williamstown, passed away Sunday at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Williamstown, August 30, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Esther Machamer Boyer.
Merl was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School. She was retired from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens.
She was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church.
Merl took great pride in the appearance of her home. She enjoyed gardening and going shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clyde R. Thompson; one son, Ronald Thompson and his wife Kim, Fredericksburg; grandson, Ronald Thompson, Colorado; granddaughter, Tarsa Evans, Annville; two sisters, Fay Thompson, Mechanicsburg and Shirley Nolte, Dauphin; one brother, Jack Boyer, Williamstown; Nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, July 27th at 1:30 pm from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Pastor Amanda Bressler.
