Barbara S. Buffington

Barbara S. Buffington, 81, of Elizabethville, passed away Saturday evening, July 25, 2026 at her home with her husband by her side.

Born in Effingham, Illinois on Thursday, January 11, 1945, a daughter of the late Clifford and Eloise Rush Huff.

Barb retired from Dr. James Bower's office, Lykens, where she was a dedicated office manager for 34 years.

She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Barb took great pride in maintaining her gardens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Maldonada, and a son, Dale Denune.

Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Thomas Buffington; two daughters, Diana Heider and her husband Kurt, and Donna Mullen and her husband Eric; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Vacuna and Joyce Tarman; nieces and nephews.

Following her wishes, there will be no formal services.
