Betty M. Umholtz

Betty M. Umholtz, 97, life long resident of Williamstown (Dayton), passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Millersburg.

Betty was born in Williamstown (Dayton), August 12, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Jennie Kessiger Umholtz.  She was a 1942 graduate of the former Williamstown High School, and was very active with the alumni committee. 

Betty retired from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens.

She was a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Williamstown, a member of the Williamstown Historical Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Charles, Harry, Russell and William Umholtz; one sister, Ethel Umholtz-Saltzer.

Surviving are her three nieces,  Wendy Umholtz-Sebacovich, Sunbury; Beverly Umholtz-Hummel, Enola and Charlotte Umholtz-Long, Williamstown; several cousins including, Linda Houtz, Williamstown and Karen Houtz, Tower City.

Betty will be laid to rest privately in the Williamstown Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory should be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 141 East Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.
