Bonita "Bonnie" Shomper, 64, of Lykens, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at her home.
Born in Harrisburg on Sunday, February 12, 1961, a daughter of the late William and Barbara Bowers Long. She attended Upper Dauphin Area High School.
Bonnie loved playing Bingo and going to the beach. She was a country music fan and enjoyed going to concerts. Bonnie could always be found rooting on the Philadelphia Eagles. She was a very social person, making many friends throughout her life. She especially looked forward to the times spent with her close friends, Pat Shuttlesworth and Deb Jillard.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Shomper.
Surviving are her two sons, Jarrod Long (Tesla Fetterhoff), Lykens, and Travis Long (Abigail), Millersburg; a sister, Tammy Bordner (Rod), Elizabethville; two brothers, Ronald Stroup, Lickdale, and John Long, Williamstown; six grandchildren, Tieran, Timber, Kobe, Jayce, Kingsley, and Rayna; two great grandchildren; four nieces, Sarah, Makyla, Arianna, and Alyssa; one great niece, Aurora.
Following Bonnie's wishes, there will be no formal services.
