Bonnie L. Wertz, 77, of Lykens, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at ProMedica SNF, Sunbury.
 
Bonnie was born in Wiconisco, November 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Verna Smeltz Reed.
She was a 1962 graduate of the former Wiconisco High School.
 
She was a member of St. Christopher's Lutheran Church, Lykens.  She enjoyed traveling, crocheting and doing puzzles. Bonnie took great pride in the appearance of her home. Her life revolved around her family. She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mom and gram.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Reed and Ronald "Butch" Reed.
 
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Floyd E. Wertz, two sons; Scott A. Wertz (Abby), Carlisle and Floyd A. Wertz (Stacy), Wiconisco, her eight grandchildren she adored; Zachary, Austin, Nicholas, Trevor, Travis, Paul, Sam and Caroline and four great grandchildren. One sister, Marie Rinehart (Rich Matter), Halifax, two brothers, Charles "Pete" Reed (Mary Ellen), Williamstown and George Reed (Joyce), Wiconisco. A sister-in-law, Elaine Reed, Wiconisco. Nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Burial will be in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.  Viewing will be from 10 - 11 at the chapel.  Memorial donations in Bonnie's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
