Carl D. Fry, 83, of Harrisburg, formerly of Williamstown, passed away suddenly, Friday, April 14, 2023.
Born in Williamstown, October 30, 1939, a son of the late Arthur and Hattie Updegrove Fry.
Carl was a United States Navy Veteran. He was also a lifetime member of the Gratz VFW.
He was a retired welder from the former Alfa Laval, Lykens. He had also been Chief of Police for Lykens Borough and served as a police officer in Williamstown.
Carl was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time outside and could often be found hunting and hiking. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing the harmonica. Carl had a special talent for woodworking and making wine.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Edwin, Dean, and Glenn Fry.
Surviving are his wife Gail Wetzel Fry, whom he spent 40 years with; his four children, Sheri Gonder (Steve), Williamstown, Diane Keister (Rich), Wiconisco, Dave Fry (Linda), Shamokin, and Kurt Fry (Tammy), Wiconisco; two stepchildren, Andy Schade (Tammy), Millersburg, and Amy Derivian (Jacob), Harrisburg; his sister, Carol Frank (Richard), York; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; nieces and nephews.
Following Carl's wishes, there will be no formal services.
