Carol V. (Travitz) Fulkroad, 84, of Millersburg peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
Carol was born in Millersburg, PA on October 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Russell and Pauline Travitz formerly of Millersburg. Carol was the widow of her true love Gene Fulkroad, to whom she had been married for almost 60 years. She was the graduate of the class of 1957 from Millersburg Area High School, and proudly still got together with her classmates monthly.
Carol was a member of the Millersburg Assembly of God Church; Carol loved her Church and congregation; she spent a lot of time volunteering for the Lord there. She was well known for her fabulous cakes and her kind loving heart. Over the years, Carol did a lot of volunteer work within the community, some of her work included First Responder for 6 years with the Millersburg Ambulance Company, preparing class reunions, carnivals, festivals, and other community events. She was involved with the Garden Club, Civic Club, and ceramic groups. In her younger years, Carol worked as a secretary in several factories before working for her husband as a self-employed secretary. She was an amazing housewife.
Carol had an amazing amount of love for her Lord and Savior. She loved spending time with her family and always loved when they could come visit. Carol had a great love for her grand dogs, Lady, and Zeus.
Carol is survived by her daughter Gina (Fulkroad) (Timothy) Donges, Grandson Tyler Boyer, Great-Grandsons Skylar Boyer and Asher Boyer, Great-Granddaughter Kinslee Boyer, Niece Randie (Travitz) (Eric) Ervin, Crystal (Travitz) (Paul) Mahler and many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her Husband Gene Fulkroad, Grandson Brett Boyer, Brother Ronald “Butch” Travitz, Sister Joan Travitz, and Aunt Gloria Travitz.
A public viewing will take place at Millersburg Assembly of God Church, 2261 Shippen Dam Rd. Millersburg, Pa 17061, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 9 AM, followed by the 12 PM service. The burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Pa. Luncheon to follow at Millersburg Assembly of God.
