Carol L. "Rosie" Moyer, 93, of Jim Thorpe, passed away early Friday morning, December 19, 2025 at the Heritage Mill Personal Care Home, Tower City.
Born in Orwin, on Tuesday August 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Lynn Bendigo and Viola Mease Bendigo Zerbe.
Her life was centered on caring for her family, and she took great pride in her home in Jim Thorpe. She could often be found cooking, baking, and sitting on her front porch.
Rosie was of the Lutheran faith. She was also a member of the Jim Thorpe American Legion.
Polka music was a big part of her life, and she enjoyed following the Daisy Jug Band.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Moyer, 1984, and a brother, Gene "Skip" Bendigo.
She is surivived by her son, Michael Moyer and his wife Lisa, Tower City; two grandchildren, Michael Moyer, II, and his wife Jessica, Enola, and Jocelyn Scheibelhut, and her husband Aaron, Linglestown; four great grandchildren, Mason and Mackenzie Moyer, and Cameron and Cooper Scheibelhut; a sister, Jane Bernhardy, Waterville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, with Pastor Maureen Duffy-Guy officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Rosie will be laid to rest in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
