Catherine J. Perkins

Catherine J. Perkins, 73, of Tremont, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville.

Born in Ashland, October 2, 1950, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Willard Kupusnick.

In 1969, Catherine became the first GED recipient in Pennsylvania, an accomplishment she was very proud of. 

Before becoming ill, Catherine worked as a home health aide. She also was previously employed at Goodyear where she made tires.

Catherine's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and baking. She will be remembered for her love for animals.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by an infant son, Earl Moyer; a grandson, Randy Earl Moyer; a nephew, David Kupusnick; a brother, William Kupusnick.

Surviving are her four children, Stacy Krise (Kerry), Tremont, Heather Rhody (Richard), Hegins, Melanie Moyer, Norristown, and Randy Moyer, Palo Alto; her grandchildren, Rachel Jamison (Adam), Amanda Krise (Brandon Albert), Jessica Krise, Kaitlin Krise, Harley Krise, Destiny Krise, Brittany Reed (Brandon), and Azaria Moyer; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily, Jet, Benjamin, Jazmin, Gabriel, Silas, and Gatlin Bo; two sisters, Tina Seritsky (John), Frackville and Sharon Kupusnick, Frackville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Following Catherine's wishes, there will be no formal services.
