Charles H. Culton, 72, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at UPMC- Harrisburg with his family by his side.
Charlie was born in Williamstown on Thursday, April 16, 1953, a son of the late Edward and Iva Houtz Culton.
He was a graduate of the Williams Valley High School, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Penn State University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Charlie was retired from CET Engineering, Inc., where he was an environmental engineer, supervising the construction of water and sewer plants along with water lines.
He was of the Protestant faith and most recently enjoyed watching the 700 Club.
Charlie was an avid sports fan, with Penn State and the Philadelphia Phillies being his favorite. He was a season ticket holder for many years. Charlie could always be found at Williams Valley High School sporting events. He looked forward to spending time with his friends cheering on the Vikings. He also volunteered his time as the videographer for the Williams Valley boys basketball team.
Charlie enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it be spending time with family and friends, taking care of his immaculate gardens in his yard, or cooking for his family. He will be missed by his family, friends, and the Williams Valley community.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Culton and a brother, Terry Culton.
Charlie is survived by two sisters, Janice Culton, Williamstown and Elaine Braucher and her husband Jack, Harrisburg; a nephew, Edward Culton and his wife Ashley, Harrisburg; two nieces, Pauline Ellis and her husband Mark, and Colleen Culton, both of Tower City; a great nephew, Matthew Ellis, Tower City.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City, with Pastor Robert Stoner officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Charlie will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
