Clyde R. "Bob" Watkins, 83, of Elizabethville, passed away suddenly, Saturday September 18, 2021.
Born in Pottsville, December 2, 1937, a son of the late Clyde and Marion Maiden Watkins.
Bob was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a retired custodian from the Clay Elementary School, Ephrata.
He was a member of the LCBC Church, Manheim and was currently attending the LCBC Church in Elizabethville. Bob was also a member of the Williamstown American Legion. He enjoyed antique cars and watching Penn State Football.
He was extremely proud of his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and dad, who always put his family before himself.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, a sister Betty Shutter and a brother James Watkins.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn L. Matter Watkins; two daughters, Kimberly McNoldy (Darren), Muir and Chris Smeltz (James), Williamstown, five grandchildren; Sheena Smeltz, Devon Tyson (Steve), Taylor Strouphauer (Justin), Kiara Shaffer (Ryan) and Colin McNoldy (Marissa). Seven great grandchildren, two sisters; Carol Williams, Williamstown and Patty Adams, Mechanicsburg, a brother, Terry Watkins, Myerstown. Nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
