Obituary

Colette Marie Reed, 57, of Saint Clair, formerly of Herndon Virginia, passed away suddenly Saturday, September 17, 2022.

She was born on December 28, 1964 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Reed I and brothers James Reed II and Duane Reed.

Surviving are her mother, Iris Rose Coady and sister Lori Reed of Harrisburg; niece Amy Reed Weiss of St. Clair; nephew James Reed III and his wife Desiree of Branchdale; grand-niece Cheyenne Sonnon of St. Clair and her partner Thomas Rupp and their children, Eli, Brandon, and Sadie.

She is also survived by her life partner Craig Parker of Virginia and their kittens Spit Fire and Clover whom she adored.

She lived and worked most of her adult life in Herndon, Virginia. She worked a number of years as a grounds person at Lake Fairfax Campground and recent years at Sugar Oaks Property Management in maintenance and grounds keeping until her recent retirement due to health. She then moved home with her niece Amy.

She was a hard worker, taking great pride in her work. At home she loved to cook, and many times, shared with neighbors and friends. Her greatest joy was the landscaping and gardening she did outside of her condo. She loved to show off her flowers and shrubs.

Colette and Craig also took care of as many of the stray kitties as they could, spaying, neutering, and feeding them. She will be dearly missed by all.
