Constance Challenger Shomper, 89, of Williamstown, passed away October 19, 2021 at the Northern Dauphin Nursing & Rehabilitation, Millersburg.
Born in Williamstown, April 29, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche Walkinshaw Challenger. Connie graduated from the former Williamstown High School in 1950 where she was Secretary/Treasurer of her class.
She and her late husband Carl were the proprietors of Shomper's Service Station, Hydro Spray Car Wash and More Precious than Gold Spring Water.
Connie was a life long member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church and a 56 year member of the Glen Chapter of O.E. S., Lykens.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carl Shomper, 2015 and their precious son Rex Shomper. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ted Challenger of Williamstown and James Challenger of Elizabethville.
She is survived by her son, Todd J. Shomper and his wife Julie McHugh Shomper, Williamstown, a brother; Joseph "Booty" Challenger, Williamstown. Nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown with Pastor Amanda Bressler officiating. Memorial donations in Connie's memory can be made to the Williamstown United Methodist Church, 150 East Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.
